Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels will be reopening its first congregate center in Rosenberg on June 7, 9:00 am. All locations have been closed since March 2020 due to covid. The Bud O’Shieles Community Center is located at 1330 Band Road in Rosenberg. Seniors will be welcomed seniors back with activities and a hot meal. All clients have been receiving meals at their homes since the centers closed. The organization served almost 438,000 meals in Fort Bend and Waller Counties last year.
The media is welcome to attend but proof of vaccination is required. Most seniors will arrive between 9:30 am – 9:45 am if you would like to take photos.
