Sugar Land is pleased to announce the Houston Grand Opera?s Artist in Residence Program will present an informational performance on Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center (1700 First Colony Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas 77479). This event is free and open to the public. The Grammy and Emmy award winning Houston Grand Opera (HGO) is delighted to present three featured studio artists, Yongzhoa Yu from China, Federico De Michelis from Argentina and Sahar Nouri from Iran, for an informational performance and session about Opera and HGO?s artist in residence program. This is an educational opportunity for those who wish to learn more about the Opera art form. The program will include a question and answer session where the artists will discuss anecdotes about their lives, careers and crafts. Founded in 1977, this young artist development program is one of the most recognized and respected young artist programs in the world. By presenting an ?Informance? people are offered the opportunity to experience opera in a unique and personal way. During the ?Informance? the artists will combine arias and lighter musical selections with anecdotes about their lives, career, and craft as well as answer questions from the audience.
