Since 2012, Junk Hippy has transformed vacant venues into a vintage festival like no other, and this spring marks their first event in the Bryan/College Station area. Vendors from Texas, Oklahoma and several surrounding states bring the event to life with vintage, handmade, repurposed and antique goods. Their unmatched creativity, display, product, community and atmosphere have earned Junk Hippy the title of one of Country Living Magazine's 7 Vintage Sales Not to Miss, and make Junk Hippy something truly special that cannot be duplicated. Junk Hippy kicks off their spring show season with two Texas events. The first event of the year is a regular stop since 2013, in Rosenberg at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, Saturday February 25th. For the first time ever, Junk Hippy is bringing their event to the Brazos County Expo in Bryan. The Bryan event is set for Saturday, March 11. Both events are open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is only $5 at the door, with kids 13 and under free. You can also buy wristbands online in advance and bypass the line on show day. They are on sale now at www.junkhippy.com/shop. Food trucks and live music, always local, complete the festival vibe. Think Round Top Antiques Week with a little Woodstock thrown in. Junk Hippy has always been homegrown, family-owned and operated. Even with their tribe of regular vendors hitting the road together like a caravan of gypsies, there are always new vendors to discover at a Junk Hippy show. Shops, cafes, weddings, and nurseries have been put together with finds from a Junk Hippy show.
